Compared to buying a new Chines Forklift.<\/p>\n<p>Its really important to compare apples with apple when you looking at <a href=\"https:\/\/djjequipment.com.au\/\">purchasing a new Chinese forklift model<\/a> or a refurbished second hand forklift model.\u00a0 So make sure you know what you need the forklift for.<\/p>\n<p>You might what to consider the following<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capacity<\/li>\n<li>Lift height<\/li>\n<li>Fuel type<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When looking at your purchase.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3307\" src=\"https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/buying-chinese-forklifts.jpg\" alt=\"buying chinese forklifts\" width=\"590\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/buying-chinese-forklifts.jpg 590w, https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/buying-chinese-forklifts-300x112.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/buying-chinese-forklifts-180x67.jpg 180w, https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/buying-chinese-forklifts-150x56.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>As an example<\/h4>\n<p>A new 2.5T Chinese made forklift, with a 3000mm mast, petrol, will retail for about $15 999 at the bottom end and up to $25 000 at the top end of the Chinese product market.\u00a0 And will generally come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Ask first about what warranty to expect).<\/p>\n<p>A refurbished <a href=\"https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/listing\/used-hyster-h2-50dx-forklift\/\">Hyster H2.5DX model<\/a> (which is approximately 5 years old) with a 4000mm mast will retail for about $15 000 and you could generally expect a 90 day warranty with it.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few things you need to consider when making the choice<\/p>\n<h3>Reliability<\/h3>\n<p>Chinese manufacturing is light years ahead of where it was 10 years ago,\u00a0 With most if not all major brands bringing out a Chinese equivalent (Yes think Toyota, <a href=\"https:\/\/iplantmachinery.com\/au\/baoli-forklifts-are-they-really-worth-it\/\">Linde<\/a>, Hyster).<\/p>\n<p>With a lots of smaller forklift companies now running Chinese forklifts in their rental fleet. So are they reliable well in the right application ? yes they can go the distance.<\/p>\n<h3>Depreciation<\/h3>\n<p>Depreciation is the true hidden cost of a forklift.\u00a0 Buy a good condition second hand brand name forklift such as a Hyster, you will still get a decent resale figure when you go to sell it down the track.\u00a0 Meaning that generally they will hold their age.<\/p>\n<p>A new Chinese unit, whilst is cheap, will quickly loose its value at the end of 5 years, you could loose up to 80 % of its value from new.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Backup and Spare parts<\/h3>\n<p>There seem to be a never ending number of different forklift companies importing Chinese brands of forklifts to Australia over the years.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of that have gone out of business, or have stopped selling Chinese forklifts. These companies are normally around for 2 to 3 years or until their warranty issues become too much and the Chinese manufacturing company moves on to another importer.<\/p>\n<p>You will see a lot of these companies selling on Ebay.<\/p>\n<p>A forklift is a business tool, and should be view as such.\u00a0 You need to make sure you are buying for the right reasons, and knowing what application you are wanting to use to you forklift in.
